Back by popular demand! Learn to make your own lavender wand the traditional Provençal way with Fernanda from D’alma Design Studio. Fernanda will guide you through the process of choosing the right lavender from the field and weaving it into a beautiful lavender wand that will hold its scent for years. You’ll leave with a completed wand, some leftover lavender, and the skills to make your own wands at home!

Fernanda Witdorchic is a West Nyack, NY artist who specializes in the hand creation of functional and unique ceramics and other items for the home, garden and body.  She combined her degree in Home Furnishings Marketing from F.I.T. with trained (and self-taught) knowledge of ceramics from the Chelsea Ceramic Guild in NYC. In 1997, Fernanda created D'ALMA  (meaning "from the soul" in Portuguese) Design Studio. Fernanda draws inspiration from nature and her Portuguese heritage.

Please note: This workshop will last for about 2 hours. It will take place outdoors, and it could be hot out. On-site amenities include free drinking water, a covered area out of the sun, and an upgraded port-a-potty.

Directions: Head to Lavenwood Farms at 98 Mountain Lodge Rd, Washingtonville, NY. When you arrive, follow the signs for u-pick and park by the lavender field.
