Flower Power Workshop - July 21, 10 AM
Sunday, July 21st at 10 AM
Embrace the power of flowers through a 2.5 hour intensive with Violet Reed. In this workshop, we’ll learn how to use the flowers all around us in food, medicine, and simply for enjoyment. Most items will be made with locally grown flowers, and of course Lavenwood lavender.
As we learn, we’ll be making for the taking:
Local flower infused honey
Burn Mix or Smudge Stick
Lavender simple syrup for lavender lemonade
Healing Salve
We’re beyond thrilled to have Violet Reed lead this workshop. Violet is the Executive Director of MEVO, grower, permaculturist, and student of herbalism. She will bring along her impressive wealth of knowledge and contagious passion for plants and the environment.
Minimum age: 15 years old.
Please note: This workshop will last for about 2.5 hours. It will take place outdoors, and it could be hot out. On-site amenities include free drinking water, a covered area out of the sun, and an upgraded port-a-potty.
Directions: Head to Lavenwood Farms at 98 Mountain Lodge Rd, Washingtonville, NY. When you arrive, follow the signs for u-pick and park by the lavender field.
